The Newline compression tights have gone through a complete makeover in the spring of 2003. The most visible difference is obviously their appearance, but in addition to that also the fabric of the compression tight product line has changed. The trousers no longer have zippers so they can more easily be worn underneath other clothes. There is a small pocket in the front of the trousers for keys.

New qualities:

• Thinner, softer fabric
• New black color
• New design
• No zippers

Compression products are constantly increasing their popularity, and different kind of research has attempted to investigate their effect. I think that no absolute effect on one’s performance has been proven, but the research has discovered some effects on recovery after performance [1]. Whether or not compression is useful for your performance, these tights are worth the money! I tested the trousers while jogging and on a half marathon, and these Newline tights are a good addition to one’s running gear.

Compression fabric is supportive and, contrary to preconceptions, also really comfortable. The tights didn’t cause a tightening sensation, but they hugged the muscles almost without noticing. The newline compression tights have flat seams, which is especially important while running.
