Interview with Nikos Baltic Run

Jul 7, 2015

You are organizing Nikos Baltic Run on the 5th of Sep 2015. Tell us little about the event, why was it created, where it is located and how runners are able to travel there easily?

The purpose of Nikos Baltic Run is to promote a healthy lifestyle and at the same time it is an alternative way for the participants to spend time together as a family and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The event will be held at the welcoming and beautiful Lithuanian holiday and resort town of Palanga, also known as the city of amber. The city never ceases to amaze everyone with its natural beauty and possibilities for leisure time and entertainments.

Palanga has both airport and bus station, so runners can come by plane or bus. Participants from Latvia even get special offers from our agency’s tour buses. You can also get excursions and hotel booking from the agency, so that your stay in Palanga will be the best possible.

Okay. What kind of race it will be?

It's an international running event and festival of sport, that will feature several musicians, artists, well known athletes, presentations of new sportswear collections, lotteries, prizes and a bunch of unexpected surprises! Furthermore, there will be different activities for children and their parents as well.

The race will be held within the framework of the charity campaign and auction, both of which will be raising money for children’s healthcare.

Are there different distances in your event?

The event offers three distances: 5 km run, 10 km run and Children's run (2-12 years old). You don’t even need to participate in the race to be part of it, you can just enjoy the festive atmosphere and cheer the runners.

How many runners do you expect to have in your event?

We expect to have more than 900 participants from different countries.

What kind of weather conditions can runners prepare to face in your event?

Usually in early September it is warm (around 18-22 degrees).

What else should runners do in the city after/before the race? Any suggestions to newcomers?

Palanga is a Lithuanian resort city and it offers a lot of possibilities for leisure time as well as possibilities for relaxing. There is also a great opportunity to book hotels or to choose some of our agency's offered sightseeing tours and excursions through the official web page of the event

Anything else you want to tell about your event?

Festival program and concert is free of charge for the runners.
Everyone is welcome to the event to enjoy activities and light-hearted fun together!
