Międzynarodowy Bieg Zaślubin – is an annual running event held in Kołobrzeg every year since 1987.

Route description:

The route was approved by the Polish Athletic Association (PZLA) on 11 October 2014.
- 2 long legs – 6.40877 km each and 1 short leg – 2.18246 km, 15 km altogether.
Start from Rodziewiczówny Street – IKAR Sanatorium, Aleja Nadmorska, Sikorskiego, Sułkowskiego, Wschodnia IV Dywizji Piechoty, Fredry, Kościuszki, Grottgera, Sikorskiego at the statue of the Nurse, then Rodziewiczówny (2 large loops), dr. Zygmunta Maja, Aleja Nadmorska, Sikorskiego (1 small loop) and the finish line is at the „Perła Bałtyku" Sanatorium.
Total distance: 15 km
Surface: tarmac, paving stone and bitumen.

Refreshment stations:

Refreshment/drink stations with warm tea and still mineral water will be set up on the 5th and the 10th kilometre of the race, as well as at the finish line.

Venue facilities:

The organizers provide showers at the end of the event, located in the building of the Complex of Postsecondary Schools (Zespół Szkół Policealnych) at Grottgera 11 in Kołobrzeg. There will be additional shower facilities for the competitors (their location will be specified later).

Distribution of race numbers:

1. Race numbers will be given out in a tent on the court ul.Sikorskiego.

2. Starting numbers are allocated against a receipt (proof of payment) of the registration fee and upon the competitor’s declaration of their fitness to run.

3. By signing the registration form the competitor expressly accepts the civil law contract between the organizers and the competitor.

4. Competitors are reminded of the requirement to undergo general medical examinations once a year.

Entry fees:

By 15 November 2015 – PLN 50.00
By 31 December 2015 – PLN 60.00
By 31 January 2016 – PLN 70.00
By 28 February 2016 – PLN 80.00
By 11 March 2016 – PLN 90.00

For later registrations the fee is PLN 100.00, also payable at the event office.
To be properly registered the competitor must complete the registration form and pay the registration fee.
Runners who have completed all previous Międzynarodowy Bieg Zaślubin races are exempt from the obligation to pay the registration fee:
Mr Zenon Słomski - 28 races, Mr Andrzej Wyganowski - 27 races, and Mr Aleksy Łopiński – 24 races.
REGISTRATION FEES MAY NOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER PARTICIPANTS AND ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Classification:

The classification will be divided into the following categories:
Men’s and Women’s overall
Men’s and Women’s age classification
WP - Military and uniformed services – the Polish armed forces and other uniformed services
K+M - Men and Women’s, including married couples – summed-up results
N - Handicapped – the disabled (competitors with amputated limbs, visually impaired etc.) – equal gifts guaranteed, awarded off the podium
D – Team classification, results achieved by three team members are considered

Prizes:

The first six finishers in the overall men’s and women’s categories receive cups and prize money.

1st place – PLN 700.00
2nd place – PLN 600.00
3rd place – PLN 500.00
4th place – PLN 400.00
5th place – PLN 300.00
6th place – PLN 200.00

In the women’s and men’s age groups, holders of places 1-3 are awarded with statuettes of the Monument of the Wedding to the Sea.
The oldest female and male runners are awarded with a special cup.
Souvenir cups for runners completing their 26th and 27th race.
All competitors who cross the finish line will receive souvenir medals and functional t-shirts (remember to tell your size with the registration).

Schedule:

08:00 – opening of the event office
10:30 – the 22nd Regional Wedding to the Sea Runs of the Special Olympics begin (separate regulations apply)
11:00 – issuing race bibs and enrolling additional competitors finishes
11:30 – laying of a commemorative wreath at the statue of the Nurse and official welcoming of the competitors
12:00 – beginning of the main race
13:00 – the award ceremony of the 21st Regional Wedding to the Sea Runs of the Special Olympics /the band shell/
15:00 – the award ceremony for the Open and Age categories /the main race/ at the band shell
About 16:00 – prize drawing among the competitors (a sports quiz about the race)
16:45 – closing of the event office
The Kapela Solna band will play during the race.

Additional info:

Everyone who includes their mobile phone number in the registration form will receive a text message with the result after crossing the finish line.
The organizers will award up to 1000 competitors who pay the registration fee online with a souvenir medal and a functional t-shirt. Competitors who will register and pay the fee on the spot will be admitted to the race but the organizers cannot guarantee the medal or the t-shirt if the stock runs out.
