Maratona Internazionale Ravenna Città d'arte

The International Ravenna Marathon is a race midst the history of the imperial monuments of Ravenna. The city is a treasure chest of art, history and culture; in its glorious past, it has been the capital of the country three times.

Route description:

Fast and easy AIMS certified route. It has been redesigned and made more enjoyable for the runners. The route runs in a beautiful landscape next to the immortal monuments of Ravenna, chosen as World Heritage Sites.

Marathon and half marathon starts from and finishes in Via di Roma - Ravenna (Museo del MAR area).

Start time: 9.30am

Course Time Limit: 6 hours for marathon and 3 hours for half marathon.

The 10,5 km race has a new course in 2016!

Refreshment stations:

Refreshments along the route, in accordance with FIDAL Regulations.

Venue facilities:

Race kit – race number and chip collection, luggage storage, refreshments.

Race number and race pack pick up:

The race number is personal and may not be transferred or exchanged. Must be attached to the chest with four pins in such a way as to be entirely visible: it can not be bent and must remain intact. Will be able to pick up the bib number with the chip at the Expo Marathon Village during Friday 11th November 2016 from 14.30 to 19.00 and Saturday, 12th November 2016 from 9.30 to 19.00; at the starting zone in Via di Roma Sunday 13th November from 7.00 to 9.00.

RUN WITH US AND DISCOVER THE CITY OF ART

Presenting the race number, all athletes will be able to visit for free, on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday, November 13th, 2016, MAR (Art Museum of the City of Ravenna), Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra (one of the most important archaeological italian sites) and the Museo Tamo_Tutta l’avventura del mosaico.
For carers and/or family members:
– MAR (Art Museum of the City of Ravenna): Reduced admission to all events in progress
– Tamo and Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra: combined ticket € 5.00

This year the news is an agreement with the historic monuments diocesiani. All athletes and accompanying persons will then visit the monuments diocesan submitting your race number, taking advantage of a reduced fee of 8,50 € per person.

They will also be entitled to a discount of 10% on purchases at the book shop of monumental diocesan.

All athletes that will finish marathon and half marathon race will receive a MOSAIC medal, characteristic of the art of Ravenna.
Every year our medal is insipred by a mosaic inside a monument of the city, so coming to run in Ravenna, runners take home a piece of the art of the city.
