Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest International Marathon

One lap is 33 km completely asphalted and marked at every km.
The lap will be run party twice for the Marathon race. Half Marathon runners run an exact half marathon.
Each member of the relay team will run one lap of 10.548 km.

Route description:

Start/Finish Area and SPORT EXPO are located at the Constitution Square, in front of the Parliament Building (the symbol of the city and a building with a 2.9 km perimeter). After the start, the runners will run towards Cosbuc Square. The course of the races will be 33 km long (run partly twice for the marathon runners and one lap for the half marathon runners), running along the streets of Bucharest. 33 km of the course are completely closed to car traffic, in the center of Bucharest. The race will finish at the Constitution Square.

Refreshment stations:

Following the IAAF/AIMS regulations there will be a refreshment point at every 5 km, therefore at approx. 5 km / 10 km / 15 km / Finish (half marathon) and at 5 km / 10 km / 15 km / 20 km / 25 km / 30 km / 35 km (marathon and relay).

There will also be sponge points at approx. km 7.5 / 12.5 / 17.5 (half marathon) and at km 7.5 / 12.5 / 17.5 / 22.5 / 32.5 / 37.5 (marathon and relay).

Participants are kindly asked to throw plastic bottles and cups nearby the refreshment and sponge points in order to facilitate the cleaning process.

Each participant from the marathon, half marathon and relay races will receive only one sponge in the start bag, at the registration.
