The event course is on the ice road between Koli and Vuonislahti, which is officially the longest ice road on Europe's freshwater areas. The event venue is Pielinen, which is the fourth larfes lake in Finland.
Arctic Ice Road Running is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience!

Route description:

The distance is flat and icy. A breeze will emphasize the arctic feel. The courses are an excellent chance to admire the scenic Pielinen landscape. The road has ice on it for the most part, so shoes should be studded.

Refreshment stations:

There are three refreshment points, at each end of the ice road and one in the middle, i.e. every 3,5 km. At the refreshment points there is warm juice available, other supplements the participants need to carry themselves.

Races and series:

Running distances 14 km and 28 km.
Kicksled distances 28 km (duo) and 56 km (solo). In the duo category there is one kicksled and two people.

Entry fees:

30 €/person 31st of January to 29th of February 2016
35 €/person 1st of March to 14th of March 2016

The entry fee includes sauna and a soup lunch.

Race office:

Restaurant Alamaja in the harbour of Koli, race number pick up there.
